What’s been happening:

I have been living in California since graduating from Jefferson Medical College in 1976. I am very happily married to Sandra Lynn Goldberg. Our daughter Naomi graduated from Mt. Holyoke College with an A.B. in 2000 and the Ford School of Public Policy at Michigan with an MPP in 2008. She works at the UCLA Law School Williams Institute as a Public Policy Fellow. Our son Joshua is in high school and will graduate in 2010. He plans to major in engineering. He received his Eagle Scout rank in 2008. He plays cello and lacrosse and competitively races Laser sailboats on SF Bay. After 20 years of private practice of occupational medicine, I joined the full-time faculty of University California, San Francisco School of Medicine in 2000. I am a Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. In addition to teaching residents and fellows, I pursue research in ergonomics and upper extremity and spine musculoskeletal disorders and do consulting. We enjoy hiking in the Sierra Nevada, sailing, and skiing in addition to listening to classical and jazz music.
